Just Me

Well, it’s been about a month into the new year and I’ve come to a few conclusions . . .

I need new glasses.

And one of those super large wide screen hd monitors, please. I got to try my mom’s new work pc and I absolutely fell in love with the monitor. The rest of the system wasn’t bad either, but damn, I could see a lot with that monitor. Sigh, kelan kaya? I swear, I’m gonna get one of those one day. It would be so much help with my work and would reduce my eyestrain. Someday.

In other news . . . I’ve been having a very weird week. I’d say Murphy’s law was working overtime. My thumb drive, which I usually only use for backups for the website I’m maintaining, got toasted. God knows how, coz I have no idea.

Then just when a friend requested I make a wallpaper or several for her, my copy of Photoshop (and Dreamweaver) got corrupted and I had a devil of a time getting them back. The shared office printer suddenly didn’t work and one day we couldn’t connect to the internet for half the day (this one was due to a prank pulled on our net admin). And the weirdest of all is that I managed to actually keep my cool. Well, okay, I might have felt a bit of annoyance at losing my new barely used thumb drive (goodbye Php450.00), but the rest was not so bad, just strange.

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO WATCH TLW

TLW Season 6 Cast

TLW Season 6 Cast

Oh, yeah, not too sound overly geeky or anything, but I’ve finally seen the first two episodes of the last season of TLW. Not too impressed with the first one. There were too many unnecessary scenes and not a lot of screentime for Helena (played by Rachel Shelley) or Lucy Lawless’s character come to think of it. She was like on screen for less than a minute.

On the other hand, the second episode was definitely better. Alice (Leisha Hailey)  was made of win with her What-the-Fuck moments and her confrontation with Dylan was priceless. Speaking of Dylan . . . man, that was great seeing Rachel Shelley and Alex Hedison together on screen again, even if it was just for a few minutes.

Jane Lynch’s character Joyce was a definite hoot to see just for the look on Bette’s face when she accidentally catches an eyeful of Joyce’s “junk”. Freaking hilarious!

And, oh God, Shane and Jenny . . . I have no words and not in a good way.

That said, I can’t wait to see the rest of the season unfold. i don’t really find myself caring to know who killed Jenny. Personally, I think she killed herself. However, I do hope that TPTB will give Helena her happy ending, because she deserves it after all the shitty storylines that she was given throughout the show. The only other thing that would make the last season perfect is if Dana (Erin Daniels) makes an appearance. Maybe she could come back as Alice’s ghostly conscience again. Just saying.
