Just Me

remembering mommy two

My Auntie Aura died a few days before I turned nineteen. It was so sudden. She was supposed to be coming home here to Palo for a small vacation sometime that year. Basically, it was to personally introduce our littlest cousin, Bianca, who just turned one at that time.  Like a blink of an eye, she was gone and a little girl was deprived of her mom.

I have many fond memories of my aunt. She was the one who gave me my first taste of tuba, back when I was in grade school. Yeah, she was cool hehehe . . .  and man, she could sing. I remember one time when my balikbayan uncle came home, she and my mom sang this song and uncle Edboy joined them, blending their voices. I wish I had a recorded it back then.  She played second mom to me and my brother and our two cousins during the 1995 World Youth Day celebration for two weeks. I remember her telling us to go home na coz she was gaining weight na daw from eating all our left overs, LOL. From that moment on, though, she became Mommy Two to us kids.

I miss my aunt and I hope that wherever she is, she has found peace. Love ya, Mommy  Two!!

tired . . .

These past couple of weeks have been quite trying on me.  I have never felt so mentally tired in my entire life (so far). I haven’t had a single day to myself and the trip to Cebu last week doesn’t count, cause all I could think about was the work I had waiting for me back home. Come to think of it, I was working there too. My aunt managed to finagle me into fixing and updating their computers at work. You just can’t say no to nuns. Bad things will happen if you do . . .  hehehe. And anyway, they had this ultra fast internet access . . . I’m easy, LOL. Too bad, I didn’t bring my flash drive.

Anyway, it wasn’t all that bad. Just tiring. Try tackling three projects at once in a small amount of time with no help at all. Kudos to you if your head’s still on right. Now I can concentrate on my next project, but not for a couple of days more. Hopefully, I can get this one right the first time around. So don’t want a repeat of this past week’s drama.
