What’s the worst thing that could happen to a person with arachnophobia? . . . DING! DING! You got it! Being surrounded by spiders (shivers involuntarily at the thought).

I’ve always been scared of spiders. When I was a kid, I practically turned to stone whenever I got close to one. Well . . . that or run away in the opposite direction, much to the amusement of my family, especially my brothers, who delighted in teasing me. I can usually tolerate the smaller ones, you know the “jumpers” or whatever you call them. At least now I can. It’s the bigger ones that really . . . well . . . that really makes me . . . tense . . .

Anyway, I’ve been noticing some small spiders were appearing on my desk lately. Since they were small, I wasn’t too troubled by it. Besides a few swats and they’re gone from existence. Thing is, they kept popping back up. The last straw was waking up one day and looking at the mirror to see one dangling from my newly shorn hair. To say, I freaked out is pretty much an understatement.

Time for the big guns.

One Baygon later and I thought I at last eradicated all of them, only to find out there were more still crawling around. One small spider, I can tolerate, but not a whole bunch of them!! As one might have guessed, some spider had lain it’s egg somewhere in the vicinity of my room. I later found out that it wasn’t in my room, but right outside. In a drawer that is beside my bedroom door.

In any case, I finally got rid of them, or at least the ones that were still in my room, so I can have peaceful night’s rest . . .

. . . only to go to the bathroom and see another one. This time, much, much bigger . . . AAARGH!!!

Back from Cebu and an unexpected but definitely pleasant trip to Bohol

Hillssmall
Finally get to see those chocolate hills, I’ve only read in textbooks or tourist guidebooks. They really do look like a giant heaps of chocolate. Made me wonder how they got be that way. There is about a thousand of them spread throughout the island of Bohol and from a high vantage point, you get this “wow” effect.

Anyway, it turned out to be a really fun trip. For one, we’ve got a new pc which I’m using right now hehehe . . . vroom! vroom!!

And I got a new haircut, but that happened yesterday in Tacloban. It’s the shortest my hair has ever been and I kinda like it, since I’m a no fuss kinda gal. I think I’ll keep it :)
